V-Shapes at Andina Pack in Bogotá 9 to 12 November

V-Shapes , an innovative supplier of vertically integrated products and services for convenient, hygienic and sustainable single-dose packaging, reported last week that it will be introducing its patented single-dose sachet manufacturing solution to two key markets in the coming week – the Middle East and Latin America. The young company founded in 2018 feels that bringing patented on-demand production of unique single-dose sachets that can be opened with a single gesture using one hand, to fast growing markets is important.

V-Shapes will be participating in Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai , scheduled for 7 to 9 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre. In addition, V-Shapes LatAm, will be presenting its solutions to the Latin American community during Andina Pack , scheduled for 9 to 12 November at the International Exhibition Center Corferias in Bogotá, Colombia. These two trade fairs are important venues for educating the global community on the business and sustainability benefits of V-Shapes’ unique hygienic and sustainable approach to single-dose packaging.

V-Shapes manufacturing machines are compact, professional-grade systems that come in a variety of configurations to meet the needs of a wide range of packaging converters and co-packers. Systems include Prime, Alpha and AlphaFlex, as well as the VS dflex near-line digital printing solution. When inline or near printing is included, these unique machines bring vertical integration of high volume production of patented single-dose sachets on site, speeding time to market and eliminating the need to outsource printing.

“Dubai is a key business center in the Middle East with a young and fast-growing population that is open to adopting new technologies and processes,” said Christian Burattini, CEO of V-Shapes. “We are excited to be bringing this new approach to single-dose packaging to this vibrant audience for the first time.”

V-Shapes will be located in Stand 128, Hall 1, at the show, with experts on hand to explain how the V-Shapes sachets are manufactured, what makes them unique, and how these recyclable single-dose sachets contribute to a more sustainable planet while providing consumers with a safe, easy way to dispense a wide variety of liquid and semi-solid products. Branded sachets containing a wide variety of food products will be available to visitors to the V-Shapes stand, and a QR code will be on display that enables visitors to quickly and easily download the V-Shapes 3D configurator app that can be used to see how their brand will look on V-Shapes sachets. Representatives from NR Instant, a global food products manufacturer and V-Shapes customer, will also be on hand in the V-Shapes stand to share the company’s experience with its multiple V-Shapes manufacturing machines.

“We are delighted to report that we are in the process of installing the very first V-Shapes manufacturing machines in Dubai, added to the equipment we have already installed in both Thailand and Canada,” said Lorenzo Conforto, General Manager of NR Instant. “That brings our total installed base to four units worldwide, a number that will likely continue to grow as we move into a more sustainable future.”

Latin America is also an important market for innovative packaging solutions. Following a successful exposition in 2019, V-Shapes is delighted to be back in the region. “We also just concluded successful participation in the recent PackExpo trade fair in Las Vegas, where we received a number of inquiries from Latin American attendees, showing great interest in our innovative single-dose packaging” Gerardo Jaspers, General Manager at V-Shapes LatAm added. “By bringing our story to Andina Pack, we are looking forward to engaging with even more brands, converters and co-packers in the region.”

V-Shapes experts will be located in Hall 17, Level 01, Booth 1609A at the show. Visitors will be able to learn in detail about V-Shapes AlphaFlex and V-Shapes PRIME, and how they can help drive new business for brands, converters and co-packers alike. Already one V-Shapes Prime is in the process of being installed in Latin America, and there is plenty of room for additional companies to acquire these innovative manufacturing solutions to differentiate themselves in a growing market.

The Covid-19 pandemic led to the country-wide lockdown on 25 March 2020. It will be two years tomorrow as I write this. What have we learned in this time? Maybe the meaning of resilience since small companies like us have had to rely on our resources and the forbearance of our employees as we have struggled to produce our trade platforms.

The print and packaging industries have been fortunate, although the commercial printing industry is still to recover. We have learned more about the digital transformation that affects commercial printing and packaging. Ultimately digital will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future.

Web analytics show that we now have readership in North America and Europe amongst the 90 countries where our five platforms reach. Our traffic which more than doubled in 2020, has at times gone up by another 50% in 2021. And advertising which had fallen to pieces in 2020 and 2021, has started its return since January 2022.

As the economy approaches real growth with unevenness and shortages a given, we are looking forward to the PrintPack India exhibition in Greater Noida. We are again appointed to produce the Show Daily on all five days of the show from 26 to 30 May 2022.
